Zakiya Wiggins, AIA, NOMA, LEED AP, joined LS3P in 2022 with a background in architecture in various market sectors across the United States including civic, higher education, pharmaceutical, and K-12 projects. She has a passion for increasing access to the profession of architecture through mentorship, awareness, and licensure support amongst her peers and mentees, and is currently serving as President of the North Carolina Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NCNOMA) and as a Board Member of [Diversify Architecture].
Zakiya holds a Master of Architecture from Morgan State University and a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from North Carolina State University. While in school, she was a recipient of the prestigious Alpha Rho Chi Medal and she participated in AIA Virginia’s Emerging Leaders in Architecture Program as an emerging professional.
Zuleika Baldeo is a sophomore architecture student attending Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. Despite being a non-traditional student, she has found her passion and purpose and is driven to complete her bachelor’s and pursue a master’s degree with the hopes of owning her own housing company in the future. Deeply connected with her culture, half Trinidadian and half Panamanian, she considers it an honor to be a recipient of the Diversity Advancement Scholarship Award and proud to be a representative of women of color in a male-dominated field. She is determined to have women’s talents showcased and respected in the workforce.
