Briana Johnson is a Florida native and emerging professional currently on the path to licensure. She is an alumna of the University of Florida’s CityLab – Orlando. She is currently employed as a designer at DLR Group and works in both the higher education and justice sectors.
Her contributions through her local AIA Orlando chapter include the Young Architects Forum, the Women in Architecture committee, and acting as the Co-Chair for the Equity Diversity and Inclusion working group. She is also the Co-Chair for the grass roots organization, Black Architects in the Making (BAM) Orlando chapter; a program developed to increase minority participation in the profession.
Last year, Briana was elected to be the Associate Director for the AIA Florida Board (2021) and was also accepted into the 180th art residency at the Atlantic Center for the Arts under the guidance of her mentor Charlie Hailey.
