Michele Crawford is a Cleveland designer with a special interest in architecture and interiors. She believes that design changes our world and ultimately dreams to make design services more accessible to all communities through initiating creative thinking and problem-solving skills to the masses. She is passionate about people, process, performance and most recently painting!
Michele is currently a Project Manager in the Capital, Construction & Facilities Department at Cuyahoga Community College. In this role she is managing multiple design projects spanning from new construction and renovation to infrastructure improvements to enhance student spaces college wide.
Michele served on the AIA Ohio Board in 2017 as Associate Director, where she advocated for the voice of associate members throughout the state. She is committed to strengthening the voice of emerging professionals by creating a platform for honest dialogue and developing supporting programs for professional development, mentoring and service. Locally, Michele is involved on AIA Cleveland’s Women in Architecture+ Committee and was the 2015 recipient of the AIA Cleveland Activism Award. Michele is consistently involved in youth outreach and mentoring of future architects through the ACE Mentoring Program and leads planning efforts for the National Organization of Minority Architects Project Pipeline summer camps.
