Robyn Savacool grew up in New Jersey and attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston to earn her B. Arch in 2006. After moving to Oregon and working in architecture, she decided to pursue a tangential path, receiving a Master’s of Sociology at Illinois State University, while simultaneously serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Republic of Moldova. While in Moldova, Robyn worked with founders of Eco-Village Moldova, sang in the folk ensemble Tarancuta, and collected data for her Master’s thesis on the topic of Place-Identity. Currently, she is working at Connolly and Hickey Historical Architects, a firm in Northern New Jersey, specializing in historic preservation. When she is not in the office, she is trying to convince her nephews to go rock climbing.
