“By increasing my role as a mentor and voice for minority designers, I can help pave the way for future great architects who look like me. “

Having been born and raised in Chicago, architecture and community involvement have helped shape me into the designer that I am today. I see architecture as a tool to boost cultural and social equity in both natural and built environments. Increasing diversity and inclusion in the profession is important to me. By increasing my role as a mentor and voice for minority designers, I can help pave the way for future great architects who look like me. We each have stories to share and we all connect through our experiences. I believe that storytelling and human interaction become the foundations of architectural design. By increasing diversity in the architectural field, I believe that we can bring communities and cultures closer together.
