I’ve always held architects in the highest regard, but growing up in rural Oklahoma the world of architecture seemed inaccessible. To me, architects were elusive geniuses who, for some reason, always wore black turtlenecks! It wasn’t until I met two architects that I realized they’re just normal people who happen to have a passion for design and problem-solving. I realized then that if I worked hard enough, I could achieve my dream of becoming an architect as well. I quickly enrolled in OU’s architecture program and my passion for architecture has continued to grow.
With 13 years of experience working in the financial industry, I’ve acquired skills with regard to time management, professionalism, and team leadership, which have been tremendously helpful with schoolwork.
After graduation, I plan on utilizing the education and skills acquired at OU to pursue my licensure in Oklahoma. My hope is to thoughtfully design for the people of Oklahoma due to my long-lasting personal connection to the state. My goal is that my unique design aesthetic, hardworking approach, and ability to problem-solve will leave a lasting legacy and contribution to the field of architecture within Oklahoma.
