More paths into the profession.

Architecture is about enhancing the human experience by creating buildings that reflect, serve, and strengthen communities. This scholarship began in 1970 with an initial grant from the Ford Foundation, after Whitney Young Jr. challenged architects in 1968 to build a more responsible profession. Different viewpoints and cultures make the profession stronger. Next Generation Scholars join a supportive network of students whose imagination and commitment can change the future of the built environment.
