Architects Foundation Announces Fall 2025 Scholarship and Grant Recipients


WASHINGTON October 1, 2025 The Architects Foundation has named the 2025 recipients of three scholarship and grant programs that support emerging professionals in architecture. These programs focus on leadership development, easing student debt, and supporting the path to licensure.

As the philanthropic partner of The American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Architects Foundation is committed to investing in the profession’s future by recognizing individuals making an early impact. 

2025 Student Loan Relief Grant 

The Architects Foundation’s Student Loan Relief Grant provides $5,000 of support to architecture graduates. This year’s recipients are:

2025 Sho-Ping Ching Women’s Leadership Summit Grant 

Established in memory of Sho-Ping Chin, a founding leader of the inaugural AIA Women’s Leadership Summit, this award provides free registration to the AIA Women’s Leadership Summit, as well as travel and expense reimbursement up to $700. This year’s recipients are:

2025 Jason Pettigrew Memorial ARE Scholarship 

Developed by the AIA National Associates Committee, the scholarship honors the memory of Jason Pettigrew, Assoc. AIA. Each recipient receives $1,910 to cover the cost of the ARE Architect Registration Examination and study materials. This year’s recipients are:
