Aida Ayuk is the Sustainable Design Coordinator at EskewDumezRipple, where she integrates sustainability, health, and equity into the design process. She works with project teams to develop actionable strategies, lead integrated design charrettes, and support firm-wide commitments to climate-responsive, socially equitable design, translating research into solutions that make spaces high-performing, resilient, and people-centered. Raised in Maryland, Aida experienced how policy and investment shape communities, sometimes reinforcing inequities or creating opportunity, which inspired her commitment to socially responsive design. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, minoring in Entrepreneurship and Studio Arts, and received the Robert S. Brown Travel Fellowship for her research “Investigating Perspectives on Livability.” Early in her career, Aida completed a research fellowship focused on climate and environmental justice, collaborating with local organizations to develop The Equity Guide and Mapping Equity, publicly shared resources that help designers address social and environmental challenges early. She also leads volunteer initiatives, mentors peers, and presents her research at conferences, translating lessons from frontline work into tangible solutions. A LEED AP BD+C and WELL AP, Aida is pursuing architectural licensure to expand leadership and advocacy, designing spaces that serve both people and place with curiosity, care, and measurable impact.
