Anna is an energetic and ambitious 5th year at the Illinois Institute of Technology, studying for her B.Arch. Throughout her studies at IIT, she has learned the importance of community driven design, ADA accessibility, and the history of spaces.
Outside of her studies, she was an avid member of iitAIAS chapter. Starting as a First Year Representative to later becoming the Chapter President, her overarching goal has been fostering connections. From promoting professional development to her peers at IIT, to collaborating with other organizations like NOMAS, Arquitectos, and ASLA. Her most recent efforts of outreach have been volunteering within South Side schools to foster interest in architecture. Through AIAS, she aspires to make a positive impact within her community.
In her free time, Anna enjoys exploring different music venues, attending local DIY shows, and camping in places with elevation. She is ecstatic for the prospect of the Payette scholarship and is honored to accept this memorial award. Additionally, she is thrilled for the opportunity of a life-long mentorship. Above all, Anna is dedicated to using the Payette scholarship to help fund her education, aiming to use architecture as the vehicle for change in the community and elevate the human condition.
