David Zuniga is currently a Master of Architecture II candidate at the Yale School of Architecture (2027) and an alum of the University of Arizona Bachelor of Architecture program at CAPLA. David is the recipient of the 2024 AIA Associates Award, a member of the National Organization of Minority Architects Student Chapter at Yale (NOMAS), and an Associate member of the AIA. Since graduating from U-Arizona in 2023, David has worked in the Phoenix Metro region, most recently at the office of HKS Inc, where he supported the design and delivery of hyper-scale data centers across the Southwest US as part of the Mission Critical team.
David’s early architectural career has been defined by unrelenting optimism, a commitment to reciprocating mentorship and support to co-emerging professionals, and a passion for elevating the human experience through design and personal connection. As David embarks on his graduate studies, support from the Architects Foundation will provide him with the peace of mind to focus on his education and work towards licensure. Bear Down & Go Bulldogs!
