Farnoosh Rafaie is a practicing designer with over 10 years of professional experience working in the city of Los Angeles and former Assistant Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California’s School of Architecture. A Co-Founder of Riff Studio founded in 2021,the firm leverages shared technical knowledge and skills in an effort to redefine contemporary housing practices. In 2024, the firm was named “Golden Ratio’s” Emerging California Practice by Wallpaper Magazine as well as one of the publication’s USA Creative 400. An LA native, she retains an innate interest in exploring an architecture of unique and peculiar congeries of everyday suburbia from remarkable to unremarkable ways of living. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with honors and a MArch II with distinction from the Harvard GSD.
