Filimon Alvarez

Filimon Alvarez is an immigrant from Mexico, a former U.S. Marine, and now an architectural designer with Roth Sheppard Architects in Denver, Colorado. He mentors through the Denver Public Schools Coach Mentoring Program and leads architectural workshops at Gateway High School, introducing underrepresented students to the field of architecture. Filimon also serves as Co-Chair of NOMA Colorado’s Historical & Community Outreach Committee, where he helps organize initiatives that highlight diversity in architecture. In both his professional and volunteer work, he strives to design inclusive, sustainable spaces while uplifting the next generation. His journey reflects his belief that architecture is most impactful when it creates opportunities for others.
