Hillary Morales Robles, Assoc. AIA is an architectural designer and historic preservation specialist serving as Historic Preservation Officer and Endangered Latinx Landmarks program manager at Latinos in Heritage Conservation. She leads national initiatives to identify, prioritize, and protect Latinx heritage sites facing threats from demolition, gentrification, neglect, and climate change. Her professional experience includes preservation consulting for Grand Central Terminal, contributing to the restoration of the Equitable Life Building with Beyer Blinder Belle, documenting the Simón Bolívar Memorial for the Library of Congress through the National Park Service, and collaborating internationally at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aphrodisias, Turkey. She holds a Master of Architecture and a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Environmental Design with a Minor in Art History from the University of Puerto Rico. Her award-winning academic work, including her thesis Tactical Preservation for Climate Emergency—recognized with the Anthony Nicholas Brady Garvan Award and the Elizabeth Greene Wiley Award for Outstanding Promise—reflects her commitment to climate-conscious and community-centered preservation. As a Pettigrew Scholarship recipient, Hillary is dedicated to advancing preservation design as a tool for equity and sustainability, empowering communities to protect and reimagine their historic sites.
