Holland Harrell is currently studying architecture at Pennsylvania State University, where she is building a foundation in design that balances creativity, functionality, and social impact. Originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Holland has always been drawn to how the built environment shapes everyday life and connects communities.

This passion led her to pursue hands-on experience through an internship with Chris Dawson Architect, where she gained valuable insights into the profession; from conceptual design to real-world project development. The experience deepened her interest in thoughtful, human-centered architecture and reinforced her commitment to pursuing a career where design can make a meaningful difference.

Receiving the Next Generation Scholarship is an honor that will support Holland’s continued growth as a designer and student. It represents both recognition of her dedication and an opportunity to further explore the power of architecture to improve lives.

Looking ahead, Holland hopes to use her education and experience to contribute to projects that prioritize community, sustainability, and beauty. She is excited to continue learning and evolving as a future architect who designs with purpose and heart.
