Isaiah M. Johnson was born in Virginia and raised in Maryland and Texas, where his interest in architecture began at a young age through a love of building and creating—often sparked by afternoons spent with LEGO. That early curiosity grew into a deep passion for design and construction, eventually leading him to pursue a degree in architecture.
Isaiah is currently studying at Prairie View A&M University, where he found not only a strong architecture program, but also a vibrant community that reflects his culture and values. His time at PVAMU has helped him grow both personally and professionally, giving him the tools to approach design with purpose and cultural awareness.
Outside of the classroom, Isaiah is actively engaged in leadership and service. As a member of the Texas Leadership Scholars program, he represents student voices across the state while focusing on ethical decision-making and community impact. He is also involved with YoungLife, where he supports youth through mentorship and faith-based outreach.
With the support of the Architects Foundation, Isaiah is continuing his academic journey with the goal of using architecture to create spaces that uplift, connect, and serve diverse communities.
