Trent (Ivy) Monroe was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas but moved to Conway, Arkansas at a young age. Ivy is a graduate of the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts, and will be a first-generation student when they attend Syracuse University in the fall of 2024. They plan on majoring in Architecture and minoring in music. They're a percussionist and were a part of the wind ensemble, jazz band, and Cover Artists Club president. They were also Astronomy Club's president and were interviewed by PBS and broadcasted by KATV during their senior year. They were selected out of their peers to be one of the admission delegates for ASMSA. Through these experiences, they've learned leadership, commitment, and dedication to their craft. They play video games, skate with friends, and compose music in their free time. They recalled being an artist for as long as they remember, and through their love of science and math, they went into architecture as a career field. Due to their upbringing, Ivy hopes to bring a future of cheaper and more developed government housing to make people with financial struggles feel like they're at home instead of being in just a house.
