Jameica Demercado is a Designer II at Hord Coplan Macht, bringing over three and a half years of experience in architecture, design, and research. She specializes in creating dynamic and proactive learning environments within the PK-12, Higher Education, and laboratory sectors. Passionate about developing school designs that serve as a "third teacher," Jameica is committed to shaping spaces that are not only educational tools but also safe havens where students can thrive emotionally, physically, and academically. She believes that learning environments should foster mental, psychological, cultural, and physical well-being, empowering both students and educators.

As a designer, Jameica understands that creating meaningful spaces goes beyond architecture—it involves engaging with students and the community to ensure their needs are met. She demonstrates leadership through her extensive community outreach with the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA). Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Jameica volunteered with SoCal NOMA’s Project Pipeline, an initiative focused on introducing students to architecture. She serves as the Project Pipeline camp lead for Bmore NOMA and holds the position of Student Engagement Committee Chair, where she actively creates opportunities for young people to explore the field of architecture. Her dedication to mentorship and advocacy reflects her passion for cultivating the next generation of architects and designers"
