Lola Díaz-Suarez is graduating high school senior from Design and Architecture Senior High in Miami. She will be attending Cornell University in the fall of 2025 to study her passion: architecture. The experiences she’s had in school clubs, art exhibitions, pre-colleges, and her internship at AECOM, has led her ambition for design to the next level. Her portfolio has focused on her discovery of connection with her Cuban culture and how to make others experience alongside with her whether it’s with art or her designed architecture.
She volunteers at Lewis Art Studio, her local art nonprofit, where she shares her creativity with aspiring young artists and helps transition them into high school with a curated selective portfolio. With her experiences, she has won Scholastic Gold Keys and the AIA Miami 2025 Student of the Year. She will continue to work hard in her time at Cornell to design her future!
