As a Mexican-American undergraduate first-year student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Madeline is currently channeling her deep-rooted passion for design into a 5-year accredited Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program.
Her journey into the world of architecture began long before university. Early formative experiences with the ACE Mentorship program and the UCLA Summer Teen Architecture program provided her with foundational technical skills and solidified her desire to shape the built environment. These programs sparked a lifelong curiosity about space, culture, and community-centric design.
Driven by a fascination with neuroarchitecture, she is deeply invested in how the built environment impacts the human physiological brain. Her ultimate design philosophy is centered on creating spaces where people can feel profoundly comfortable, safe, and psychologically supported.
Although her career is in its foundational chapters, Madeline approaches the field with high ambitions, a fresh perspective, and a strong work ethic. She is eagerly seeking internship opportunities where she can translate her academic knowledge into real-world practice, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute meaningfully to innovative design teams.
