Nour Khalifa is an Egyptian-American architectural designer and researcher. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing her Master of Architecture at MIT.
Her work examines how architecture shapes memory, civic life, and our relationship to place over time. Interested in the afterlife of buildings beyond their original intent, she explores how systems of housing, food production, infrastructure, and public space can be designed to remain adaptive, culturally grounded, and socially meaningful amid growing pressures of standardization and disposability. Through both design and research, she approaches architecture as an ongoing dialogue between people, environment, and collective authorship.
Nour's work has been recognized nationally, including as a recipient of Metropolis Magazine's Future100 and selection to the 2025 AIA Women in Leadership NextGen Cohort. She has also co-authored two design research papers published through the ARCC in 2026. Beyond academia, she is the founding Creative Director of Sandbox, a student-led architectural publication at Georgia Tech, and a co-founder of Georgia Tech Creatives. She is committed to advancing thoughtful design, architectural discourse, and greater accessibility within the field.
