Neşe Altıntaş, Assoc. AIA, NOMA, CWA, is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology, where she earned her Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in Psychology with honors. Her architectural journey, shaped by a profound understanding of how space impacts mental and physical well-being, drives her to design environments that promote and foster healing. Currently, Neşe works as an Architectural Designer at Wold Architects and Engineers, contributing to K-12 education projects. This role has given her the rewarding opportunity to shape learning environments for future generations and embrace student mentality through spatial design. An epistemophiliac at heart, Neşe loves learning, teaching, and asking meaningful questions. Her passion for scholastic initiatives and systems thinking is reflected in her deep-rooted commitment to leadership, mentorship, and advocacy. She has mentored countless students through I-NOMA’s Project Pipeline initiatives, ACE Mentor Chicago, the AIA Chicago Young Architects Forum, and the AIA Illinois Emerging Professionals Committee. In 2025, Neşe was awarded the AIA YAF + LFRT Future Forward Grant for Beyond the Classroom, a research initiative reimagining K-12 spaces through trauma-informed and neurodiverse design. While actively pursuing her architectural license, she is eager to cultivate her skills by integrating interdisciplinary research into architectural practice.
