I grew up in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, a town shaped by steel and the Schuylkill River. Living where industrial buildings have shifted into creative spaces, I came to see architecture as a discipline that preserves memory while guiding change. That perspective first led me to James Madison University, where I completed my undergraduate studies and strengthened my foundation in design and community engagement. I then pursued my master’s degree at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art and Architecture, where my research and projects focused on equity and ecological resilience in the built environment. My work has included community health centers and cultural studios, each centered on creating spaces that foster connection and opportunity. Phoenixville’s character, marked by persistence and reinvention, remains central to my approach. It reminds me that architecture should respond to people in ways that nurture belonging and open paths for future growth.
