Sofia Soto Galvan is a first-year graduate, architecture student at University of Idaho. They graduated as a McNair Scholar with a BA in Sociology in 2026, and are now focusing on melding their theoretical, sociological skills with the practice of architectural design. As an M.Arch student, Sofia is hopeful to shape the world with an equity-based, decolonizing perspective. They hope to explore vernacular and indigenous materials of the Pacific Northwest to design spaces that are culturally relevant and mitigate climate change effects.
