Silvia Kim is a rising junior at Carnegie Mellon University pursuing a five-year Architecture degree. She is passionate about using storytelling and graphic design to make architecture more accessible and community-centered. Currently a Transportation Planning Intern at the Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization, Silvia creates educational videos and public engagement materials to communicate urban design proposals through social media and other accessible platforms. With a minor in Human-Computer Interaction, she hopes to learn how design work hand-in-hand with architecture to shape user experiences in both physical and digital spaces. Through the NextGen Scholarship, Silvia continues to explore the intersection of architecture, graphic design, and urbanism to promote inclusive and meaningful design.
