Zuleika Baldeo is an alumni of Morgan State University class of 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Environmental Design. She is now pursuing her Master’s degree in Architecture at the University of Houston in Houston, TX. Despite being a non-traditional student, she has found her passion and purpose and is driven to continue and complete her education with the intention of becoming licensed. She has hopes of owning her own design-build firm in the future. Deeply connected with her culture, half Trinidadian and half Panamanian, and as a first generation graduate, she considers it an honor to be a recipient of the Next Generation Scholarship Award and proud to be a representative of women of color in a male-dominated field. She is determined to have women’s talents showcased and respected in the workforce.
