Donate a gift of cryptocurrency

We now accept gifts of cryptocurrency through The Giving Block. With your donation, you help the Architects Foundation attract, inspire and invest in the next generation design community to have positive impact in the world.

Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event. Donors do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated crypto that is donated and can typically deduct the fair market value of the donation on their taxes. This often makes Bitcoin, Ethereum and other cryptocurrency donations one of the most tax efficient ways to support your favorite cause. Talk to a crypto-savvy tax professional or connect with The Giving Block to get connected with one. If you want to learn more about how donating crypto can lower your taxes, check out thegivingblock.com/faq.

Legacy giving to the Architects Foundation

Architects use the power of design to solve problems, transform lives and create a better world. As you consider your career legacy, bear in mind an estate gift to the Architects Foundation. Your generosity will ensure our programs continue to attract, inspire and empower a diverse next generation of design professionals to create impactful places and spaces of tomorrow. Your support can also enhance the historic Octagon’s ability to deliver exhibits, events and programs that articulate the value architects and architecture bring to culture.

It is often easier to make a future gift through your estate and other assets than an outright donation today. The Architects Foundation is able to accept a variety of donation types, including cash, appreciated securities, retirement plan assets, life insurance, real estate and tangible personal property. As the philanthropic partner of The American Institute of Architects, your gift to the Architects Foundation has international reach and unlimited potential.

  • Fund an endowed gift, ensuring support for generations to come.
  • Establish or contribute to an existing scholarship, impacting students well into the future.
  • Support the Architects Fund, allowing us to use the funds to innovate and grow.
